The Coronavirus Pandemic

 

What is the novel Coronavirus?

 The novel Coronavirus, COVID19 is a new type of Coronavirus that has previously not been found to affect humans. It was first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and has now been declared as a pandemic by WHO (World Health Organization). It jumped into humans from a wet market where they were selling live marmots and snakes for food.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What is a pandemic? 

A pandemic is when a disease first spreads from city to city, then from state to state, next from country to country, then to continent to continent and then it goes around the world. 

 

Who is at risk the most? 

If you are a kid or a healthy adult, you are at low risk of getting very sick. But people older than 60 or those with health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or taking medications that suppress their immune system are at high risk of getting really sick. These people should get immediate attention if they have symptoms.

 

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

  1. Dry Cough

  2. Trouble Breathing

  3.  Fever

  4. Weakness

  5. Runny Nose

   6. Loss of Smell and Taste

How do you prevent the COVID-19? 

 1. HANDS Wash them often at least for 20 seconds

 2. ELBOW Cough into it

 3. FACE Don't touch it

 4. FEET Avoid large gatherings and stay more than 6ft apart

 5. FEEL sick? Stay home and call your doctor
